Oxford Reopening FAQs

*Updated September 1, 2020 to reflect current Phase II Reopening Policies*

Frequently Asked Questions

As part of our phased reopening approach, we have made some changes to our standard operating practices. These changes will include required reservations for all areas of the club, modified hours, check-in process, class schedules, and more. Oxford Athletic Club is using a systematic approach that has been approved by the U.S. Surgeon General. We want to thank our members in advance for extending kindness and courtesy to each other and to staff members who are working hard to keep the Club safe and clean.

CLEANING

Oxford Athletic Club will close daily for a period of time mid-day in order to thoroughly clean and sanitize the facility and the equipment. We do this so we can remain compliant with our state-approved COVID-19 Reopening Plan and to rest assured that we have done everything within our power to keep our staff and our members safe from the spread of COVID-19 while on our campus. We are grateful for your cooperation and courtesy during this time.

Increased Frequency

Modified club hours to allow for additional cleaning and disinfecting of high-touch surfaces throughout the club. This includes a complete closure of the facility daily during our Phase II plan for reopening the club.

Sanitizing Stations

Hand and equipment sanitizing stations will be readily available throughout the club.

Reinforced Protocols

Constant reinforcement of front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house sanitation procedures.

OPERATIONS

We will carefully open with a phased approach to ensure confidence and peace of mind for members and our team. The following procedures and operational protocols were subsequently updated on August 3, 2020 to reflect Phase II of reopening.

In addition to the cleaning throughout the day and during our closed hours, we have chosen to outsource a weekly professional cleaning service supplied by a local organization for additional safety coverage.

Help Boost Your Immune System

Now more than ever, it’s essential to prioritize our health by helping our bodies better fight and recover from illness.

  • Get at least 20 minutes a day of exercise to prime the immune system, help combat bacteria and viruses. Even low-intensity exercise like going for a walk or slowing down with yoga or meditation helps by reducing stress.
  • Eat a nutrient-dense diet comprised of whole foods like meat, vegetables, fruits, nuts and whole grains while avoiding sugar, refined grains, processed or packaged foods.
  • Get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night to help allow your body time to perform preventive maintenance, which helps bolster the immune system.
  • Spend time outdoors to help naturally boost your vitamin D levels and/or consider supplementing with vitamin D + K2.
  • For consumer educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, care, diagnosis, or treatment and is not intended to be a replacement or substitution for the medical advice, care, diagnosis, or treatment from a licensed medical practitioner.
