Beginning last summer, we have been working tirelessly to make Oxford more than a fitness center, more than a social club, more than a pool, but an all-encompassing, premiere health and wellness center. We met with members in numerous focus groups and conducted extensive surveys to see what direction this transformation needs to go in. We launched an entire new brand experience in November, with a new website, logo, and social media presence. Today, we take the next step in this journey.
Unparalleled Fitness
In 2018, Oxford will begin a complete transformation to become a current, modern fitness club. With the member surveys and focus groups as the guiding force behind our renovation plan, we are thrilled to provide you with a peak behind the proverbial curtain at what is to come in 2018.
Across all ages and demographics within the Club’s membership, the fitness facilities were rated as the best and most important aspect of Oxford. Which is why we will be creating an elite, premiere fitness environment to highlight and celebrate this core, founding focus of the club. New group fitness suites, renovated MindBody studio, and expanded fitness facilities are a key element of the upcoming remodel.

Another key theme to emerge was the desire for heightened amenities. With this in mind, our remodel includes a complete overhaul of the existing first floor facility to better cater to these desires. From a new WiFi lounge and virtual driving range to all new dining facilities for both grab-and-go and sit-down offerings, the new Club will be more than a place for working out, but a place to stay, socialize, and connect.
These designs are just a small preview of the incredible changes you will be seeing throughout the Club this year. Our childcare spaces will be expanded to continue to provide the best place for your children to play and grow. This first phase of construction will center on the inside of the club; phase two, coming later in 2019, will see a complete expansion and remodel of our outdoor facilities as well.
The new year brings with it the promise of a new start and a chance to change and grow for the future. We are thrilled to begin the next chapter of Oxford’s growth this year.

Very exciting! Looking forward to each and every change!
Where are the current weight room facilities? I don’t see any exercise machines or free weights?
Hi Mike, the weight room space will remain throughout any renovations. These plans represent the starting point of the many renovations coming to the Club in 2018, we are working to make sure that all aspects of the Club will be updated to the highest standards. We will be sure to post updates regularly as more details emerge. Rest assured, the weight room facilities and exercise machines will be a central feature in the redesign!
I had the exact same concern. From the layout, it looks like the main gym floor and bball courts are being taken over by offices and various studios, unless I am reading the diagram wrong.
Hi Siao, no need to worry, the weight room space and gym floor will remain throughout any renovations. These plans represent the starting point of the many renovations coming to the Club in 2018, we are working to make sure that all aspects of the Club will be updated to the highest standards.
People are not noticing that these diagrams ONLY show the middle third of the entire Oxford building. The tennis courts on one side, and the pool/cardio/weights/courts/etc on the other side of the structure are not even shown at all. These diagrams show only the middle of the building where the salon and locker rooms are located on the lower level, and where Grazie, the arcade and other amenities exist(ed) on the upper level. If you look at the lower level as an example, the yellow hallways open up to nothing on the top of the diagram and this is the entrance to the pool/cardio/weight/track/etc. side of the complex. Likewise, on the bottom of the same diagram, the yellow hallways open up to nothing and these are the access points to the indoor tennis courts.
I’m assuming that a future phase will show updates to the other two sections of Oxford. This may include less changes to the tennis court side of the complex, but I’m guessing that it will include changes/updates to the pool/cardio/weight/basketball court/track/etc side of the complex.
Mike, Siao, these plans don’t include the floor plan for the weight room or gym floor. If you look at the lower level diagram the entrance to the gym is north of the stairwell. Exciting stuff @Oxford.

Do you have anticipated dates for completion at each level? Thanks
We are so excited to see so much excitement and engagement! To clarify, these images represent the renovation starting point; they do not show the entire facility. As we have more detailed information–including further plans and drawings as well as specific timelines and dates–we will be sure to update everyone on the site, on social media, and through emails. Stay tuned for more information!
Will the entire building be members only? Or will the cafe be open to the public?
Hi Sara, the entire building will be members-only upon completion. Non-members will only be able to access the facilities if they have a guest pass.
It looks amazing ! Can’t wait for the updates
