POOL
Position Title: Aquatics Manager- immediate hire plus sign on bonus
Department: Aquatics
Job Summary: Manages all functions of the Aquatics Zone; Indoor Pool, Whirlpool and Outdoor Pool(s), inclusive of staffing, inventory of supplies, programming, overall cleanliness and professionalism.
Job Relationships: Reports to – General Manager
Supervision - Direct
Positions supervised – Lifeguards, Swim Team Coaches, Swim Instructors
Status: Full-time, hourly position of 30 hours/week administrative time. Swim lesson commission hours will be in addition to administrative time.

Job Duties:
Memorize and work according to the Mission Statement, Service Philosophy and Do Right Principles of Oxford Athletic Club.

Exhibits a “Member Friendly and Member First” mentality and actions without excuses.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, supervising, onboarding, and managing all personnel in areas of responsibility. Inclusive of evaluating, scheduling, payroll, timekeeping, and employee paperwork.
Ensures that all lessons are being billed daily by swim instructors.
- Payroll performed neatly and accurately and submitted by established deadline.
- All new hire paperwork and subsequent payroll memorandums completed neatly and accurately, submitted to Accounting Director.
Attends regular weekly individual and group management meetings.
- Sets the gold standard for cleanliness and service in and throughout the pool areas.
- Meets on a regular basis with aquatic personnel to insure positive communication and quality service.
- Meetings should be held bi-monthly.
- Ensures aquatic classes and events are scheduled by authorizing times and dates with appropriate staff responsible for reservations; coordinates all events and programs with other departments.
- Orders and Stocks all First Aid Supplies for OAC.
Coordinates scheduling of the Indoor and Outdoor Pools.
- Provides schedules, program information, and special event information to the marketing department. All information provided in accordance with Oxford Athletic Club Marketing Guidelines.
Reviews Aquatics programs for effectiveness, cost, profitability, timing, consistency and need in and throughout the Aquatics Department.
Responsible for Aquatics Department Budget and revenue streams.
Responds to all member and staff complaints in a timely and effective manner, returning all member phone calls and/or emails within 24 hours.
Works with Head Lifeguard to maintain current schedules for lifeguards in When-to-Work.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with members through a proactive approach.
- Inspects all areas of responsibility around indoor/outdoor pool and mechanical room both visually and physically for safety, aesthetic quality, and chemical/temperature controls.
- Maintains aquatic environments in accordance with OAC standards as well as within Allegheny County Health Department requirements.
- Maintains CPO license.
Performs other duties as reasonably assigned by Oxford Management.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications or equivalents are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position. Failure to maintain qualifications will result in reduction in pay, delay of evaluation, suspension, or termination.
Education & Training:
American Red Cross Certification in Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instruction.
CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification. Certified Pool Operator License.
Work Experience:
Five or more years work experience in lifeguard and water instruction required.
A minimum of two years management experience, preferred.
