Summary

Responsibilities include teach tennis skills in a positive and progressive manner, instill enjoyment of the game, teach etiquette and rules, demonstrate & lead tennis drills & games, and set up & tear down equipment.
Job Duties
- Lead by example and promote the Oxford Athletic Club core values.
- On court instruction of private and group lessons for all ages and levels.
- Assist the Tennis Manager with organizing play and lesson schedules
- Administer drills and games to make the instruction time fun as well as advancing tennis knowledge, skill, and technique.
- Maintain an organized lesson schedule.
- Ensure students are enjoying the lessons and the lessons are adapted based on the needs of the student with the goal that they will continue developing and enjoying the game of tennis.
- Know current merchandise and actively promote sales of merchandise to members and guests.
- Assist with routine court maintenance responsibilities as needed (brush, line, water) and have basic understanding of court watering system.
- Complete any other tasks as assigned by the Tennis Manager
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Three years of college level and/or professional playing experience required. USPTA or PTR coaching certification recommended unless ATP/WTA playing experience. Proficient playing and teaching skills required. General knowledge of retail and court maintenance preferred.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills required. Must be proficient at the game as a former player. Must be flexible and have exceptional interpersonal skills. USTA rating 4.5 or higher.

Position Title: Boxing Instructor/Group Fitness Classes

Summary
We are looking for fun, positive, energetic and personable Boxing Instructors for our Group Fitness Classes in our state-of-the-art studio designed for boxing enthusiasts. We are looking for someone that has experience leading small group or group training classes, who has a passion for fitness and has the ability to motivate members through a fast paced, high-energy workout.
Job Duties
- Report to the Group Fitness Manager and follow strictly their guidelines and the orientations at all times.
- Individual must demonstrate the ability to confidently lead our group training classes by following our structured workout programs.
- Ability to create a positive, upbeat and energetic studio environment while multi-tasking.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to verbally and visually correct exercise and striking form to educate members and prevent injury.
- Must physically be in condition to properly perform all exercises and movements.
- Create relationships with potential, new, and current members so that they feel at a part of our Oxford Athletic Club community.
- Gain new business through member promotion, referrals, and the use of guest passes.
- Being aware of current membership promotions, workout challenges, nutritional challenges and events being planned at Oxford Athletic Club.
- Ability to create class programming designed to engage and challenge members of all fitness levels.
Education & Training:

- Current NCCA Accredited Group Fitness or Personal Training Certification

Hiring immediately for experienced and certified lifeguards. The purpose of this job is to scan the pool areas continually to make sure all patrons are safe, enforcing all rules of the pool and hot tub, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, checking chemicals on a regular basis ensuring they are at safe levels.
Job Duties
- Comes to work in proper uniform as per the current uniform policy. Name tag is to be worn.
- Works according to the club wide job description that states: Everyone’s job is identical; we all must work together “To Get and Keep Members”.
- Exhibits a “Member Friendly and Member First” mentality and ‘actions without excuses’.
- Answers telephone promptly with appropriate greeting
- Greets all members who enter pool area
- Maintains a visible presence at all times during shift
- Provides a high level of personalized attention to members. Staff on duty should be constantly monitoring the area and making eye contact with members. Smile!
- Provides basic instruction on use of facility equipment.
- Completes all assigned cleaning duties and cleans other areas as needed.
- Keeps area stocked with paper towels and cleaning spray
- Assists with and promotes special events and programs to the Club Membership by keeping current with Club events, flyers and meeting information.
- Resolves any Member issues through effective customer service skills and by referring issue to the appropriate manager. Contact Manager on Duty (MOD) if unsure of how to resolve a situation.
- Enforces current OAC Club and departmental policies by keeping current with changes and utilizing effective communication skills.
- Performs first aid and emergency responder techniques by maintaining CPR/AED and First Aid Certification. Must be aware of appropriate emergency response.
- Attends scheduled departmental meetings and educational training sessions.
- Supports supervisors and fellow staff in providing quality programs and services to our Members as well as incorporating an atmosphere where we are constantly striving to exceed one’s expectations.
- Completes all other tasks as assigned by Department Manager, Director, or Club Managers.
Education & Training:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Undergraduate degree or working toward completion of degree, preferred
- Lifeguard Certification, required
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification required
- In-house training on policies and procedure as provided by management

Summary
Our Personal Trainers are experts in fitness training and work with our members to reach their exercise and wellness goals. Personal trainers assess their customers’ bodily strengths and weaknesses and create customized workout plans. They provide physical and mental guidance and monitor customers' progress on a regular basis. They also make sure that customers don’t get injured while training.
Job Duties
- Talk to members about their goals and introduce them to our personal training packages
- Evaluate clients’ fitness levels and health conditions
- Build individualized exercise programs
- Explain exercises in detail and suggest alternatives if needed
- Monitor progress of clients’ fitness levels
- Explain safe and proper use of gym equipment
- Lead both individual and group training sessions
- Research on new exercise techniques and trends
- Promote the gym’s fitness packages and plans
- Perform CPR and administer first aid in case of emergencies

Job Duties
- Responsible for answering phone inquiries and setting up Club tours for prospective members.
- Maintains records of all contacts, tours, and contracts as directed. Becomes familiar with and works with the Club’s computerized tracking and follow-up system.
- Maintains contact with members after the sale to ensure a smooth orientation to the Club and to become aware of any problems that would affect member retention.
- Follows up with prospective members and member referrals.
- Responds to member concerns in a timely manner and refers them to the proper department head or staff member when appropriate.
- Maintains familiarity with Club facilities, services, and policies to answer member and prospective member questions.
- Advises members on status and classification changes and processes paperwork when necessary.
- Participates in the Manager on Duty program.

Summary
Oxford Athletic Club is seeking full-time* Massage Therapists.
Job Duties
- Offers a range of massage therapy services to members such as Swedish, Sports Massage, Lymphatic, Pre- and Post-Natal.
- Has a well-rounded understanding of physiology by attending continuing education workshops and keeping all certification(s) and licensing current in massage therapy.
- Promotes the benefits of massage therapy to members.
- Responsible to build and maintain client base.
- Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate members for massage therapy appointments.
- Supports the management team, supervisors, and fellow staff in providing quality programs and services to our Members as well as incorporating an atmosphere where we are constantly striving to exceed one’s expectations.
Education & Training:
- Completion of at least 600 hours of Massage Therapy education.
- Maintains current Pennsylvania State licensing in Massage Therapy.
- Registered through the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (FSMTB).

- Minimum of one-year professional massage therapy training experience required.
